Still don't love it, but it's better that sweatpants and UGGS

After my rant on UGGS on Facebook, I had to share this blog post I found.

Hilarious and I might me guilty of participating one or two of these trends at one time in my life, BUT I’m not guilty of ever wearing or purchasing UGGS. For this, I am very proud.

Now, turn your attention to the second picture. This is by far, my least favorite UGG trend. Sweatpants + UGGS = EWWWW! YUCK!!! GROSS!! Now, I don’t believe you need to get all dolled up to run to the store, but for HEAVEN’S SAKE, put on some real pants!!! I much rather see people in work-out clothes, than in sweatpants and UGGS. I know you’re not working out in those, you’re just too lazy to put real clothes and real shoes on.

The last picture is a look I could never pull off, but, on the right person, can look pretty cute. Unfortunately, I still includes UGGS, but it’s a better alternative to sweatpants and UGGS…AND, I am a practical thinker and can’t wrap my head around short skirts with boots. Hate to break it to you, those bare legs will probably still get cold.

Day 24 of Gratitude - Today I am grateful for good conversation. I love when you just click with someone and you can talk and talk and talk. My peeps that know me, know that I can talk and talk and talk, but not with just anyone. You can talk about the most mundane things and still have an awesome conversation. It’s just nice to have people in the world you can click with and have good conversations. I’m thankful for those moments!

Day 23 of Gratitude - Today I am grateful for good food. No, I’m not talking about yummy food, I’m talk for that’s good for you. I like yummy food as much as everyone else, but I don’t always enjoy how I feel after I eat it. My palate has certainly changed throughout the years. I’ve always had a sweet tooth, but I’m finding I desire sweets less and less. Which, is good for so many reasons. Don’t get me wrong, I have my cravings, but not like I used to. I’m just grateful that there is good food resources available, so we can chow down. ;)

Day 22 of Gratitude - Today I’m grateful for Thanksgiving, a.k.a. the best holiday! Instead of cooking for only four people, we are going to The Whitney in downtown Detroit. It’s an old mansion that is now a restaurant. It belonged to a David Whitney, who was, at the time, Michigan’s wealthiest citizens. The house was built between 1890-94 and cost $400,000 or in today’s economy $10,500,000. HOLY MOLY!!

Another cool aspect of this mansion, it is known to be haunted. Oh, I SO want to see a ghost today. If I do, you’ll know what I’ll be grateful for tomorrow! ;) The ghost are assumed to be David Whitney and his wife, who both died in the mansion. I think Ghosthunters need to take a trip to The Whitney!

Day 21 of Gratitude - Today I am grateful for clean, good fun & great friends! This past weekend we went to a lighting festivity at a place called The Village in Rochester Hills, MI with are friends, The Shaws. The Village is a shopping center where the shops participate in the festivities. There’s a small parade with Santa and Mrs. Clause. I’m pretty sure I was more excited than the kids. ”SANTA!!!! I KNOW HIM!!!” (can’t wait to watch Elf this Christmas season). Anyway, we had a blast and it was a great event that helped me get in the Christmas mood. Although, I never discount Thanksgiving!! It’s probably my favorite holiday.

On a unrelated note, I love how my husband’s expression doesn’t change in all three of these photos…love him! :)
